E C O is a group exhibition at BLACK BRICK PROJECT, curated by Diego Anaya, that explores how art resonates with, bounces against, and transcends obstacles.

Curatorial Vision

Diego Anaya curates E C O to illuminate how art can turn impediments into impetus. The exhibition brings together a plural spectrum of voices, each contributing a unique coordinate to the map of resilience, improvisation, and invention. The curatorial thread is intentional but porous: the more the works resist a single reading, the more resonant the show becomes.

At its core, E C O investigates the physics of encounter: how walls become soundboards, how friction births energy, and how an idea reverberates through material, space, and viewer. The show presents artists who push against boundaries—social, technical, conceptual and perceptual—inviting us to witness the moment a challenge is met with invention. Each work engages with obstacles not as dead-ends but as portals: a catalyst for experimentation, collaboration, and creativity.

The artwork harness constraint to generate unexpected forms and narratives. Artists treat impediments as raw material, shaping them into sculpture, painting, performance and sound. A cross-pollination of discipline and technique demonstrates how ideas migrate and mutate when translated through different media.
